It’s been, what- three months? Since I read THG and became enamored with this fandom and only a day since I embarrassingly dragged my good friend Anna to the movies to see Journey 2, which wasn’t all that bad.

It’s true, I’ve got it bad. But as a realistic woman I can’t help but notice that there’s a possible receding hairline forming, copious amounts of chest hair, and this weird post muscle flab that’s starting to occur all over him. I’m going to be honest. Enjoying a person in real time, every day, face to face, is so much better. Crushing on Erick is amazing. I can’t even notice the flaws, flaws that media has programmed us to find as flaws, and I wake up every morning thrilled to be next to my boyfriend who is getting harrier with his receding hairline and weird occurrence of pre-teen acne on his 21-year-old face.

Media ruins people. It brings out the ugly in the viewer just as much as it does the person being viewed. We become critical. The last thing I want to do is judge Josh, but hey man, you’re losing that hot shape. Who am I to judge his sexy level when I just ate a few baked fries and had a soda and it’s like 1 am? I’m no one to judge him. But it’s true, the media ruins people. The way we see them, the way they are seen, and it sets too many expectations of people. You don’t see them consistently enough and if you do they’re pulling all sorts of tricks to make them look ageless.

So let me look at you here, Josh, just like this, and it’s how I’ll always remember you. At least I have The Hunger Games to look forward to. The media can’t ruin you there, Josh, they can’t have you.
